Job seekers going mobile

Filed under: Information Risk and Security — Jonathan on August 6, 2013

A huge 56 per cent of job seekers in the UK are looking for their next role on mobile devices, according to the results of a recent survey by CV-Library. Recruitment firms need to get a leg up and ensure their website is mobile friendly if they want to reach those seeking information security vacancies, among other positions.

The results show that is it crucial today for recruitment firms to stay in line with current trends and offer their services in a mobile friendly way.

The CV-Library Development Team has spent a lot of time looking at mobile innovation this year with the launch of the new version of a mobile App, as well as a Dropbox configuration of the mobile website which enables job seekers to upload a CV from a mobile device.

The CV-Library Managing Director, Lee Biggins, said:

“Mobile innovation cannot be ignored, especially within the online recruitment industry where candidates and recruiters continually require instant and easy access to a pool of jobs or CVs. As job seeker behaviour continues to change it is the responsibility of the recruitment industry to stay up to date as we have done in the past.”

He went on to say that mobile services need to be available to ensure all job seekers in the country can interact with online vacancies.

Two years ago, CV-Library became the first of all the job boards to have its own mobile App, with candidates able to seek and apply for jobs through their mobile device. Upcoming offerings include cloud storage integration and new SMS notifications set to include website links.
