Ground-breaking IOR training scheme launched

Filed under: IT Security — Mark on July 18, 2012

An industry-changing deal has taken place with the Institute of Training and Occupational Leaning and the Institute of Recruiters. They have vowed to offer a high standard development and training programme with ‘Train the Trainer’. It will provide world-class qualifications to HR and recruitment professionals. The partnership results in an offering that provides companies with a method of demonstrating how external and internal trainers have professional qualifications. This will lead to recruiters offering new standards of professionalism when attempting to fill information security vacancies and GRC jobs, among others.

IOR Director General, Azmat Mohammed, told The General Recruiter:

“Learning often depends on how knowledge is delivered, and there is no doubt that the more skilled the trainer, the greater the impact they have on those being trained. As new technologies emerge, the ways in which we learn and consume information are changing, incorporating more social, collaborative, and virtual dimensions. Trainers need to be well versed in how to transform content for easier consumption.”

ITOL’s clients include Airbus, HMRC, REED, NHS, Harrods, Capita and BT. The new scheme will provide various qualifications, including a number of new ITOL/IOR diplomas and certificates. It will ensure trainers, as well as learning and development professionals, have the necessary skills in accordance with British Standards in their delivery training.

The qualifications are set to be offered through in-house one-on-one sessions or through online classes. The fully-accredited qualifications will be underpinned by the British National Occupational Standards.

The qualification will be developed further by launching into global regions such as China, India, Russia, Brazil and the USA.
